Riding a Bicycle

I put on my helmet.

I held the handlebars...

...and swung my leg over the bike.

I started pedaling and the bike moved.

To go uphill...
...I shifted into a lower gear.

To slow down, I squeezed the brakes.

Finally, I got off my bike...

...and locked it up in a bike rack.

helmet = a very hard hat that protects your head — 非常坚硬的帽子，用来保护头部。

pedal = the parts of a bike where your feet go. You pedal the bike by pushing on the pedals. — 自行车上放脚的部位。你通过踩脚踏板来骑车。

squeeze = to grip something tightly — 紧紧握住、捏紧某物。

shift gears = to change from one gear to another — 从一个挡位换到另一个挡位。
